Hi Gang…
As promised earlier, I’ll show “more” and talk “less” about each of the cars that appeared at the Milwaukee Masterpiece Concours d’ Elegance on August 28th, 2011. Click here to read more about the success of vintage ‘glass at the Milwaukee Masterpiece.
Today’s story features Guy Dirkin’s stunning Kellison JR5 Coupe . Here’s what was shown in the program about their car:

Dave Rex,
I also have a photo of Jerry Lagod racing his Kellison. The photo is from approx. 1965…

Geoff. Thanks for a great layout on my Kellison. And thanks to Rick for taking some great photos!
This car is going to be advertised for sale in the near future. Interested parties can contact me at bosstvr@comcast.net
This has a 283 Chevrolet V8 with period Carter dual quads on an Offenhauser intake. The Milwaukee program above incorrectly states the car weighs 3200 lbs, That should read 2300 lbs.
The car is one of the few Kellison J5’s with a period correct build. I have just finished a 80% mecahical professional restoration by Mark Nordin Enterprises. The “R” designation is for the lightweight body. The car has some racing history, but I have not managed to track down the details.
The price is not cheap, but representative of condition and build quality.
Geoff, In 1967 I raced against a Kellison bodied car. As I recall it was on a Chev frame. It was owned by Jerry Lagod from DesPlaines Ill. I have a picture of it on the race track. I wonder if it is the same car???
Dave
Hi Dave:
Interesting! Do you remember what color the car was in the 60’s? I just posted that the car has an unknown race history. Your comment was well timed.
Dave Rex, I also have a photo of Jerry Lagod in his Kellison! Probably from about 1965… Scott
