The first fiberglass production sports cars and bodies for building sports cars became available in 1951. The first 3 companies that used fiberglass bodies debuted at the Petersen Motorama, Pan Pacific Auditorium, in November 1951 and these were the Glasspar G2 by Bill Tritt, the Skorpion by John Wills, and the Lancer by Eric Irwin.
