The Log Book for this car shown in this section of the book had not been found at the time Michael wrote the article, but he researched the known history and ownership of the car which, coincidentally, picks up with the last shown owner in the Log Book. Chain of Ownership—From Michael Ware: Classics & Sports Car Magazine (UK) • Early 1970s: John Thurston—Allard collector based in Kent, England • Late 1970s: Ken Miles—Garage owner from Stroud trading as HW Motors • Early 1980s: Jeremy James Bennett Sr. • Spring 2002: Alan Patterson—Allard Collector based in Pittsburg Pennsylvania: Bought in Spring 2002 and brought to USA • December 2021: Geoff Hacker and Tom Chandler—Undiscovered Classics– purchased car in December 2021 • May 2024: Tom Chandler—Collector and restorer based in Elkader, Iowa became sole owner of Clipper in May 2024 (this occurred after the publication of Michael Ware’s 2022 article) The 10-page Registration Log Book is shown on the following pages.
