8 Grantham Stardust The Grantham Stardust was built from 1953 thru early 1955. Twelve cars were built, and four remain. The Stardust appeared in two movies and several TV shows in early to mid 1950s. The driver in Johnny Dark was Louis Tomei who raced in the Indianapolis 500 in the 1930s and 1940s. He drove sports and race cars in other movies as well.
