14 Bohman Special The Bohman Special is a one - off sports car built in 1953 by Lawrence Chris Bohman. He is the son of Christian Bohman, one of the principals of the renowned coachbuilding firm Bohman & Schwartz of Pasadena, California, and built four sports cars in the 1950s. The roadster was built with a hand - fabricated aluminum body, and it is believed that the original drivetrain was built by Cannon engineering of Hollywood, California. Phil Hill drove the Bohman Special and was first to lead in the movie race.
