139 Emblems, Logos, VIN Plates, Foundry Work Most handcrafted cars of the 40s, 50s and 60s have little identification on their bodies to signify the marque or model of the car. While logos and emblems were replete in brochures and articles about the cars, few of these made it to reality on the cars themselves. We ’ ve been bringing emblems into “ being ” for the past 15 years. In addition, we work with aluminum foundries to return to production pieces made long ago so that those who need them can obtain them. Here are some examples: • For Glasspar G2 owners, we have recast the aluminum grille and windshield posts. We ’ ve also made available the G2 logo in steel, chrome and cloisonne too. • For Sorrell owners, we ’ ve brought back the cloisonne emblem missing on most of the existing cars • For Victress owners we ’ ve brought back the aluminum cast windshield posts along with the door, hood and trunk hinges • For Grantham Stardust owners we ’ ve recast in aluminum the windshield base and posts along with the two - piece grille • For Woodill Wildfire owners we ’ ve recast the windshield posts and door hinges, along with the nameplate in aluminum • For Bangert owners we ’ ve re - created the aluminum Bangert marque badge and the Manta Ray script for side attachment • For Maverick owners we now have the Maverick fender script available We ’ ve also brought back marque and model specific firewall badges available for nearly every handcrafted sports car of the 1950s and continue to make model specific badges for each restoration that occurs here at Undiscovered Classics.
