Hi Gang…
Rick D’Louhy and I are not alone in our race to get our car ready for the 2015 Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance – now 12 days away. Tim Suddard of Classic Motorsports is nipping on our heels with the completion of his 1958 Tornado Typhoon. And what a great car it is looking to be!
So far, they’ve taken it from their initial find that looked like this:
To this. And now the race is on with less than two weeks to go.
Tim Suddard and team have done a magnificent job at documenting their progress over the last two years. Their stories show the ins and outs of what needs to be done when considering restoring a special. And….their blog is artful, humorous, and greatly interesting to read. Definitely worth the time gang.
Be sure to check out the links below for more detail on this build.

Summary:
The Tornado Typhoon is looking great and will no doubt be a stunner at Amelia Island on Sunday March 15th, 2015. We invite you to join us and see this and other Fantastic Fiberglass less than two weeks away.
Hope you enjoyed the story, and remember gang…
The adventure continues here at Forgotten Fiberglass.

Very stunning car it suits to his name tornado typhoon.Possible if you have present picture of that racing car?|I would love to see that overall.
Amazing car! I like the green better though. Or something dark like navy with white stripes. The white and red look kind of blah.
I also agree that it looks better than British Racing Green, but! With the red frame, wheels, and interior, I’d have sprayed on Porsche Guard Red.
Thanks for the great photo documentation and write-ups.
I like the car & the workmanship looks amazing, but is it my own perception or does anyone else see some resemblance to a certain cartoon series car from Japan?
