Hi gang…
Thanks to Bill Warner and Tom Cotter of Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance, we have permission to share the article about the Forgotten Fiberglass Class that was part of the event program all attendees received on March 14th, 2010.
So….. to put you in the right mood to review the article….here are some suggestions to take:
First…visit the Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance Website by clicking the link in this sentence
Next, visit the various cars that participated at Amelia – including our forgotten fiberglass cars by visiting the Supercars.net website (click the link in this sentence)
And finally, dig into the article by Kit Foster (thanks Kit for shepherding this article for us!) which can be seen below. Click on each picture to enlarge so you can review and read, and of course, start with the cover showing Richard Petty.
By the way….great thanks to Steve Cowdin of Colorado (owner of a Grantham Stardust, Woodill Wildfire, and a couple of cool Skorpions too…) who was there with us as well. Steve coordinatd having one of the pages of the article signed by all participants of the Forgotten Fiberglass class at Amelia. Steve was kind enough to do this at the event and presented the original to me as well. Thanks to Steve and all the guys for doing this….it was very kind of you, and it will be on display for those of you who visit down here in Florida.
So….
Hope you enjoy the article gang, and thanks again to Bill Warner and Tom Cotter for including our forgotten fiberglass cars at Amelia this year. What a perfect show it was…
Geoff
