The Maverick Sportster appeared in the 1953 and 1955 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. In 1953 it was entered by Sterling Gladwin and in 1955 – by his wife. This makes the Maverick Speedster the first American Fiberglass Sports Car that attended a world class Concours dElegance.

Geoff Hacker, Ph.D. has pursued rare and unusual cars for over 45 years. He is now the premier researcher, archivist and author of the history of handcrafted American sports cars.
